Flynt aluminum paint is an industrial-grade coating originally developed in Hillsboro, Texas. It's formulated with bodied linseed oil that resists water and alkali, providing the elasticity needed to accommodate metal surface expansion and contraction without damage. The paint vehicle functions similarly to long oil spar varnish types, making it effective for both exterior and interior use. It cures to form a durable, elastic film with a lustrous appearance.

Flynt aluminum paint is formulated without lead driers or asphalt, which allows it to remain stable in its container for years without darkening or discoloring. When the can lid is properly sealed, the paint won't develop a skin. It provides coverage of approximately 800 square feet per gallon on metal surfaces. During application and drying, 6-8 layers of aluminum flakes rise to the surface, creating a protective metallic barrier against weather, rust, and sun exposure. It can be applied using a brush, spray equipment, or roller.
